Torà (Lleida), 12/02/2016.- The Spanish lighting manufacturing company has been awarded with the “German Design Award 2016”, an award given by the German Design Council international jury. Mr. Oriol Sala, LEDS-C4 Marketing responsible collected the certificate at the awards ceremony during the Ambient Fair in Fráncfort del Meno in Germany on 12th February 2016.
Over 1,000 guests from all around the world attended the Awards, one of the most prestigious design awards, whose aim is rewarding the work of participants in the fields of Product Design and Communication Design. The attendants had the chance to meet the rest of winners and to see in situ those distinguished projects at the extensive exhibition in Ambient Fair modern facilities.
Mr. Francesc Vilaró did not want to miss that amazing design meeting. His INVISIBLE luminaire was one of the winners in the Excellent Product Design category for ceiling lights, thanks to its iconic personality, versatile design, lighting quality and capacity to materialise light. He considers the event “a chance to visualize both the quality of the projects being presented in all the categories and the contest accuracy. Being awarded is a reason for satisfaction but also an incentive to keep on working in that direction”.
Likewise, Mr. Oriol Sala, the brand Marketing Responsible, expressed his satisfaction when being given the prize, something meaning “a recognition to LEDS-C4 long trajectory in the lighting sector and also a qualitative step forward stating the importance of innovation as a part of the company strategic view”.
On the whole, 42 prizes were awarded corresponding to different categories and personalities, from whom Mr. Konstantin Grcic, the famous designer, must be highlighted at being awarded with the “German Design Award Personality 2016”. That award is aimed at becoming a homage to the name of Grcic, who has become a world referent in design thanks to his outstanding talent and creativity, exemplified in his huge work in the fields of Furniture and Industrial Design.
